Transportation in Los Angeles is at a pivotal point. We face a historic opportunity to rethink how we plan, fund, and build our future communities.
To contribute to this conversation, the Urban Land Institute Los Angeles is initiating its premier Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Summit 2010 to engage public and private sector leaders to discuss pressing transportation and land use challenges.
Guest Speakers Include:
- Barbara Boxer, United States Senator from California.
- Shelley Poticha, Senior Advisor for Sustainable Housing and Communities at HUD.
- Richard Katz, Board Member, MTA
- Panel Discussions, Case Studies and Site Tours by leaders in the field throughout the course of the day focusing on TOD finance, policy and design.
Technical Assistance Panels:
ULI Los Angeles will also be be presenting the Technical Assistance Panel recommendations for key transit stops in Los Angeles County. A written report of these recommendations will also be distributed to all attendees. The transit-oriented sites sites studied inlcude:
- City of Monrovia- Station Square Transit Village
- County of Los Angeles- Blue Line Slauson Station
- County of Los Angeles- Green Line Vermont Station
- Housing Authority of the City of LA Jordan Downs

- Hollywood and Highland lead by CIM Group
- Hollywood and Vine lead by Legacy Partners and Gatehouse Capital
- Wilshire and Vermont lead by Stockbridge Capital and Keller CMS
Networking Reception:
A Reception with Guest Speaker Eric Garcetti, Los Angeles City Council President and District 13 Council Member, will be held at Twist in the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel. Hors d'oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be available.

Directions
From Los Angeles Airport:
Head east on Century Boulevard to the 405 North entrance. Take the 405 North to the 10 East. Exit on La Brea heading north. Take La Brea up to Hollywood Boulevard. Make a right on Hollywood Boulevard. Make a left on Highland; the Hotel will be on your left.
From Universal City:
Take the 101 Freeway South. Exit on Highland South (a one way street). Continue for less than a mile and the hotel will be on the right.
From Union Station:
Take the Metro Red Line 802 from Civic Center Station at the North Hollywood Station. Arrive Hollywood / Highland Station and walk to 1755 N Highland Ave.
