Urban Marketplace 2010

Thursday, March 18, 2010
7:00 AM- 1:00 PM
Dorothy Chandler Pavilion
135 N. Grand
Los Angeles, CA 90012

The ULI Los Angeles Urban Marketplace is a unique conference, brought to you by the Inner City and Urban Policy Committee, on investment opportunities and development strategies for Southern California's emerging lower-income and distressed neighborhoods. The ULI LA Urban Marketplace has become a national model over the past eight years, attracting nearly 5000 real estate and related professionals as well as community and government leaders to its case studies, roundtable discussions, and exhibits. Attendees learn best practices and solidify relationships with key professionals and leaders at the forefront of revitalizing the inner city.

The 2010 ULI Los Angeles Urban Marketplace celebrates its 10th year of bringing together real estate industry professionals to learn from industry leaders, network with other professionals, and participate in the marketplace and roundtables, where real information is attained and applied to projects that enhance communities.

The 2010 Urban Marketplace arrives amidst challenging times. The Marketplace's panelists, speakers and roundtables will address these challenges, as well as opportunities. It will examine the "new normal" in financing and drill down into what will get deals done in the next decade.

Social Media

As you know, this year one of the roundtables at our event is on Social Media. If you are one of the millions using Twitter, then please use the hashtag #ULI while tweeting from the event this year, so that we can follow your thoughts and comments. One of our moderators for this table will be tweeting from @ULI_Marketplace. She has also set up a background channel for those who don't use twitter. The background channel gives you the opportunity to post comments and questions before and during the event without 'signing up' or 'logging in.' Sponsorship

Become an Urban Marketplace Sponsor today to take advantage of the program benefits:

  • Only conference that directly supports revitalization in the inner city. (ULI Los Angeles developed the template for this conference, which is also now held in Atlanta, St. Louis, Washington D.C., and Houston as of 2007).
  • Focus of the conference is expressly any development in the poverty and low income census tracts of Los Angeles County.
  • This event brings together financial institutions, brokers, developers, city redevelopment agencies, property owners, and community leaders who are looking to make deals in the inner city.
  • The event has a proven track record of at least 500 attendees every year for the past eight years. Target for 2010 is 800 attendees.
  • The event ensures inclusive, diverse participation. Corporate support makes it possible to sustain a feasible registration fee and have the ULI and conference resources available to all, not just real estate professionals who can afford or can justify expensive conference registrations.
  • Deals are made and facilitated at this event.
  • Sponsors committed by February 1, 2010 will be included in the California Real Estate Journal ad series (series retail value $13,000). In addition, Presenting, Platinum, and Gold Sponsors will receive ads in a special section in the March 2010 California Real Estate Journal issue (retail value $3000 and $2500 respectively). Circulation is 10,000 weekly.
  • Sponsors committed by February 1, 2010 will be included in the Real Estate Southern California ad series (series value $14,000). Circulation is 14,500.
